Rooted in over a decade of experience as an Industrial Designer, my approach to photography is guided by a strong sense of structure, aesthetics, and detail. This design foundation shapes every aspect of my photography — from the way I build a scene to the textures, colors, and lighting I use to bring food to life. It’s this blend of creative direction and precision that defines my approach.
My connection to food runs deep. I grew up cooking and baking alongside my mom and grandmother, and later found inspiration in the vibrant farmer’s markets of Montreal, where I used to live — drawn to fresh ingredients, handmade goods, and the stories behind them.
Industrial Design meets Food Photography
One of my first clients was the epitome of businesses I love to work with: a local smoked salmon boutique in my cozy Montreal neighborhood, where, the first time I visited, the owner took his time and passionately described all their products and wholesome practices.
I started Maison Dubé to bring together my love of design, food, and storytelling. Today, I partner with chefs, cookbook authors, food bloggers, and thoughtful food brands to create imagery that feels both beautiful and real.
